Make Waves accounts are free to use. There is no monthly or annual subscription or different plans offering different features. You could sign up and get your music out right now.

The only things we ask for are 5% of your revenue and we hold back the first 4000 streams on a yearly basis. It doesn’t matter whether this is for a single, EP or album.

So how does this work? The first 4000 streams are held back by us on a yearly basis. If you don't reach the 4000 streams, you might have to pay the difference. But this will only be a couple of euros. And after that, Make Waves will pay out 95% of all your generated royalties. The remaining 5% is used to cover processing, transaction and accounting costs.

There's also a one time payment of €1 when you're setting up your release. This is to cover the costs of setting up your account and to verify you are in fact a human.
